Actors Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu have become parents to a a baby girl, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu.

Actor Soha Ali Khan, who set foot in Bollywood with the 2004 film Dil Maange More opposite Shahid Kapoor, turns 39 today. Daughter of veteran actor Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the 9th nawab of Pataudi, she is among those few celebs who are extremely qualified (studied modern history at Balliol College, Oxford and earned a Masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science).
Soha got engaged to actor Kunal Kemmu in July 2014 in Paris, and married him on January 25, 2015. The two became parents to a baby girl on September 29, and have named her Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. But do you know how the two met, fell in love and got married? When did Kunal first meet Soha’s parents? What did he give Soha for their first Valentines’ Day together?
Here are 10 things you probably did not know about the much-in-love couple:

The two first met on the sets of their 2009 film Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. They didn’t speak much because leave aside being in a relationship, they thought they would never even be able to become friends.
When Kunal first saw Soha on the sets of the film, she was writing an article on her laptop to send to Oxford University for their magazine. “I thought this is serious stuff, I should think before I start a conversation with her,” Kunal said about his first impression of her.

The two got attracted to each other when they again worked together in the film 99 (2009). “We did 99 and we got closer. I was immediately attracted to him. I thought he was a very attractive man. I noticed his eyes and his smile. He was quiet, silent and mysterious in many ways. He kind of drew me in,” Soha told us in an earlier interview.
When Soha got her mother, Sharmila Tagore, to meet Kunal for the first time on the sets of 99, he was shooting for a scene, wearing a white bathrobe with shorts. Soha did not tell her father about the relationship. “We didn’t have discussions about boys. I relied on my mother to tell him,” she said.

The first time Kunal and Soha went out together was for the 2008 film The Dark Knight. And he arrived 20 minutes late.
There are very few things Soha likes. This is why Kunal finds it difficult to get her any birthday gifts. “I want someone to give me time and attention, care and concern rather than things. I don’t think buying things is a gesture of attention,” said Soha.
The sweetest thing Kunal has done for Soha was gifting her a folder with self-written poems and her childhood pictures on Valentine’s Day, during their courtship period. Soha’s sweetest gesture? She tried to cook a meal for Kunal, but first asked him how to turn on the gas.
Soha is a control freak. She organises things very well. Kunal once told us, “If we plan a holiday, I can trust her to book the right hotel and make sure a car will pick us up.”
Kunal is a pro at writing poems, and can write one in even five minutes! Soha has revealed, “..he would write songs for me and play them on the guitar.”
Kunal is the one who makes up after each fight and the fights get really ugly. “I really wonder why his or my guards have never come knocking, asking if someone’s been murdered in the flat. I really wonder why no one comes. It does get loud and passionate and maybe it’s a by-product of two actors who get into a very melodramatic state,” Soha said.
